Knysna is a true natural wonderland. Most famous for the Knysna lagoon, the town lies within the Garden Route National Park Lakes Section with interconnected estuaries and rivers to explore. If parks and reserves are your thing, there are many to visit within the area. The indigenous Knysna Forest covers approximately 45 000ha of state and private land and is home to a host of mysterious and interesting plants, animals and birds.
