Sedgefield
Scarab Art & Craft Village
What makes the Scarab Art & Craft Village in Sedgefield stand out from others is that most of the stall holders have crafted their own products. From original art, ceramics, handmade clothing and metal work to hand carved wooden products and hand spun wool, the market is an endless source of unique merchandise.
The mosaic garden at Scarab Village sells original mosaicked items by local artists as part of the Sedgefield Community Mosaic Art Tourism project which raises funds for Masithandane, a local NPO.
The Village is also the location for the Scarab Paper & Craft Centre which sells hand-produced paper made with elephant dung. You’ll find the quaint Sedgefield Craft Beer brewery here too, a boutique style craft brewery and family owned and run establishment that specialises in high quality handcrafted beers which contain no maize or preservatives.
You’ll find Scarab Village next to the Mosaic Market and Engen Garage just off the N2 between Sedgefield and Wilderness.
Mosaic Market
Between Scarab Village and the Wild Oats Farmers Market, the Mosaic Market is an excellent source of locally produced products including clothing, jewellery, picture frames, wooden artefacts and leather accessories. The craft stalls are interspersed with food stalls, many of which sell delicious preserved jam, pickles and other homemade goodies with a long shelf life that you can purchase to take home with you.
Also in Sedgefield, The Little Wood Shop in Main Service Road sells authentically crafted wood creations.

Knysna Waterfront Quays
Knysna Waterfront Quays is Knysna’s biggest shopping centre is scenically located on the small harbour. Spend a morning or afternoon here browsing the many shops which sell locally made goods, including handcrafted jewellery, locally designed and manufactured clothing, leather goods and African crafts and contemporary art.
