Saturday mornings are a real treat in Knysna. The selection of day-markets is overwhelming. Go early to catch the freshest produce and sit outdoors in a relaxed environment while sipping on a gorgeous coffee. Homemade treats abound; in the mood for Asian wraps? What about German Bratwurst or Indian style goulash? Try some authentic Greek sweetmeats, or “tannie’s” homemade milk tart. Take your pick. Of course, there is always the full English breakfast option which goes down a treat.
Market stalls will also allow you to sample their fares- from stuffed olives to cured meats and goat’s cheese, your eyes (and tummy!) will be spoilt for choice. Take cash when you go to any of these markets as credit/debit card facilities are not always available.
The Friday Supper and Craft Market is co-coordinated by a team of Montessori Staff and is run as the school's main fundraiser with the bar staffed by volunteer parents.
Mosaic Market offer a wide variety of Food, Craft, Art, Books, Music as well as a play area for the Kids. There is ample parking and space to relax in the food court and catch up with friends.
