The Garden Bistro is one of Sedgefield’s newest additions in dining pleasure. “A nice meal in a pleasant surrounding” Trip advisor review.

The Garden Bistro is situated on the Garden Route between Sedgefield and Knysna.
The restaurant borders the Goukamma Nature reserve and is alongside the Groenvlei Lake.
The location is known to most local’s residents as “Lake Pleasant” and the Garden Bistro lives up to that name and is rather “Pleasant” indeed.
Run by two brothers, Tyrone and Shi-Ang, the Garden Bistro has a diverse menu for every palette.

All ingredients are locally sourced and the bistro supports the local small businesses making their food such as their juicy steaks, monster burgers and fresh seafood not only tasty but also ethical due to buying in local marketplaces.

Surrounded by Beautiful gardens this restaurant is ideal for families and children of all ages. They welcome your “Furkids” as long as they are well behaved and are on a leash.

Before your tasty meal you can work up an appetite and enjoy a swim in the only freshwater lake in the Garden route or a walk on the nearby Lake pleasant beach.
The garden setting is peaceful and undisturbed and you can admire the birdlife, relax and unwind.
