Situated on the Garden Route, Knysna is a haven of National Park and Reserves. With such a varied ecosystem, you will be able to indulge your senses in an array of landscapes. From rivers and forests, to wetlands and dunes- there are endless activities and fun to be had in each environment.

For an unforgettable trip: walk side by side with elephants, view one of the biggest Cape Fur seal colonies in southern Africa and canoe on a Marine Reserve.

You will also have the chance to see the Big 5 on your trip to the Garden Route. Don’t forget your guide to Southern African birds on your trip and a pair of binoculars as there will be plenty of opportunities for bird watching in many of the Reserves in the area.

The Featherbed Nature Reserve is a privately-owned, registered Nature Reserve and a South African Heritage Site, No.59. It is a pristine piece of paradise situated on the Western Head of Knysna and is accessible by ferry only.
