Coney Glen

Coney Glen offers a small and intimate beach on the other side of the Heads. It’s nestled away in a small cove and offers great opportunities for fishing and climbing over rocks. The waters here can be quite dangerous, so take care and do not go deep into the water. It’s perfect for a quick dip to relieve yourself from a hot summer’s day.

HOURS: Everyday
WHERE: Coast side Eastern Head, Knysna

There are also braai (BBQ) facilities and picnic benches on grassy patches of land at the entrance. This is a great way to enjoy the outside, in a remote and beautiful setting. Take bats and balls for the kids; the area at the entrance is safe for the kids to roam around and explore the surrounds. There are no shops here, so make sure you bring everything you need with you.

To get there, drive towards the Heads (on George Rex Drive). Once near the Heads, take Coney Drive and follow the road (first up-hill and then down-hill) to Coney Glen. The road here is very steep, so it’s best to drive in first gear!
