It sounds similar to the Nike line and could be as big in Knysna. Love United promises to bring together the largest gathering of our youth in the town on Youth Day 2016.
And the theme is very simple. Organisers of the event are passionate about giving every young person in Knysna a glimpse of their greatness and share a unified message of hope. “Our young people deserve more than the hopelessness that the majority of them face every day and it is time for the caring and visionary people of Knysna to be part of encouraging and building a prosperous future for them,” says coordinator Jacky Hendry.“This will be a day of celebration and hope across all of the communities of Knysna and will focus on a gathering of thousands of young people at Loerie Park.”
Hendry has promised the youth a life-changing celebration that will inspire them by focussing young people from all walks of life on a shared dream, a dream of seeing the incredible potential of a united future in Knysna. “Our country has never needed a shared feeling of hope and destiny more,” says Hendry. “You are our future leaders and I know that we can start a youth revolution for hope and prosperity on 16 June.”
Love United is getting amazing support from schools, churches, youth organisations, community leaders and businesses across all communities in the greater Knysna. Mr Singh has sponsored busses to transport youth from all communities to the event, volunteers are joining the initiative and many have bought into the vision of inspiring the future leaders of Knysna. Love United still needs contributions to provide hotdogs for lunch, insurance for the event, and other requirements that are listed on their website at www.loveunitedglobal.weebly.com “This initiative belong to every single person who has a heart for our youth and any contribution of time or other resources will make a huge difference.”
The celebration of 16 June will feature an awesome array of music. The featured band for the day, Lyrical D Cyples, have inspired the youth throughout S.A.Other performances will beLove United’s very own band from within the town,Plett Community Band, School Choirs, and Local dancers including Modern, Break Dance and Hip Hop. The motivational youth speaker, Ashley Augustine along with Dylan Long will be exhorting the crowd with words of hope. Steve Olivier will bring a power message which guarantees to change your life forever.
Hendry has made a passionate appeal to all young people in Knysna and on the Garden Route. “Just try it! Come and hang with us. It will be an inspiring party that will change your life. We care and it is our dream to make a difference to your lives. There is a loving family waiting for you, the Love United family.”
