Eighteen families recently lost everything in a dreadful fire in Witlokasie. The Knysna Municipality is in the process of providing replacement homes for these victims. In the meantime Greater Knysna residents are and have shown their compassion by donating much needed items to the victims.

Please feel free to donate any non-perishable food, toiletries, clothing, shoes and household items to these families.
Thirty nine people in total were affected by this fire, 12 men, 13 women, and 5 toddlers, 6 boys (6 – 16 years old) and 3 girls (4 – 10 years old).
The Knysna Fire Department in Waterfront Drive and Sedgefield Tourism office are open and any items that the public wish to donate may be dropped off at these collection points.
A register has been created to ensure that all items received are recorded and these will then be dispersed to the families on the donors behalf.
Thank you to everyone who have already donated.
