Pezula golf club is delighted to announce that it has achieved an honourable mention as part of the platinum clubs of the world, an honour bestowed on only three clubs in South Africa.
This achievement is in the golf and country club category, with Pezula narrowly missing the prestigious top 100 in the world. However, this honourable mention places the club in the top 175 in the world, a noteworthy achievement.
The top 100 together with the 75 honourable mentions comprise the top 1% of all private clubs around the globe.
“We are extremely proud of this achievement, particularly taking into account that the club has, in the past, gone through difficult times," says club chair Albert McLean. "However, one of the criteria of this achievement was the ability to turn the club around and into a healthy profit situation in tough times, and this we have done in a positive manner in the past few years. The club has gone from strength to strength and this is evident in the experience that every golfer has when visiting Pezula golf club.
"We will continue to invest in the club and thereby enhance the golfing experience for all, and hopefully in two years’ time we will rank among the top 100,” McLean adds.
