The Francois Ferreira Academy has recently been accredited with the Chartered Institute of Tourism and Hospitality and can now offer a 1 year Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management, which is appropriate for those owners or managers of a hospitality establishment, who drifted into their jobs, without any qualifications. It is ideal as it allows you to continue working and studying at the same time!!

Having a qualification in South Africa today is very important to set you apart from the rest. This course is beneficial for Hospitality and Tourism business owners to stay ahead of their competitors, and improve their businesses, that will lead to an increase in profitability and customer satisfaction. A Diploma will equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to the ever changing industry. With this course, students will combine practical as well as theoretical learning to keep up with international service delivery standards

The course will cover the following:
• The Tourism and Hospitality Industry
• The Essentials of Tourism and Hospitality Operations
• Essentials of Human Resources and Business Computing
• Essentials of Marketing and Customer Relationships

Qualification: Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality
Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Tourism and Hospitality and it is an internationally recognised qualification.

Course Duration is 10 months, and there will be:
40 Contact days, where students will be required to attend formal classes at the Academy in George 2 days a fortnight. However, if there are enough students (minimum 10) in Oudtshoorn, Knysna, Plett or Mossel Bay, then a facilitator can hold lectures in the town.
Then there are 960 Industry hours that will be spent in your place of work, where you will be required to fill in logbooks and work sheets.
The course will start in June 2019 and run until May 2020. There will be no lectures in December and January, due to the busy season
COURSE FEE is R50 000
