September is International Tourism month, with this year’s global theme being “Tourism and the Digital Transformation”.

With this theme in mind, The Greater Knysna Visitor Information Centre hosted free workshops to locals by locals willing to give their time to their community.

The first workshop was a Photographic course presented by local photographer, Africa Vumazonke.

Africa shared his knowledge of how to use your camera and how to understand what makes a good photo and as well as some advanced creative techniques.

The second workshop held was by Social Media expert Travel bug Rose.

Rose Bilbourough demonstrated the basics of marketing your business using social media to a diverse crowd of eager participants.

The Knysna Visitor Information Centre successfully represented the Greater Knysna at this year’s Getaway Show in Gauteng.

We thank you to those local businesses who supported us with prizes, so that we could create a presence and draw attention to the Greater Knysna stand.

If you have not yet “liked” and “followed” our Twitter and Facebook pages, please do! We update the public about events and happenings on a daily basis, as well as promoting our beautiful destination and the Garden route. @Visitknysna @VisitSedgefield
