With the increasingly frenetic pace of modern living, more and more people are seeking respite in nature and using it as a soul-food training ground for various sporting pursuits. With its breathtaking natural assets, the Greater Knysna region takes outdoor sporting enthusiasts to an entirely new level of nirvana.
Trisports, one of the leading sport event management companies in the country, is launching a new Cross Triathlon event that is certain to lure outdoor sports adventure lovers from far and wide. The Lakeside Lodge Cross Triathlon is scheduled to take place on the 17th September 2016 from the exclusive Lakeside Lodge, just 8km from the coastal town of Sedgefield. Lakeside Lodge has a five star rating, the highest award by the TGCSA (Tourism Grading Council of South Africa) and boasts a truly sublime setting.
The route has been cleverly designed to showcase one of the most quintessential natural assets for which the Garden Route is so prized – its lovely lakes! Competitors taking part in this inaugural event will enjoy sweeping views of both the vast Swartvlei Lake (10km in size) and the smaller Rondevlei Lake, along with pretty tracts of indigenous coastal fynbos and forest which rise up from the banks of these liquid realms. Entrants will swim in the Swartvlei Lake, cycle between the lakes along Jeep tracks and gravel roads and run along the popular SANparks Cape Dune Molerat hiking trail.

Keeping your head down at Simola can be a challenge; simply because the views around the course are awe-enspiring, and with this, it is clear to see why Simola takes its place as one of South Africa's premier golfing destinations. It's also the first Jack Nicklaus Signature course on the Garden Route, reflecting the maestro's philosophy of attuning the layout and design to the natural lie of the land.
Pezula Championship Golf Course is located in Western Cape, South Africa, in the picturesque town of Knysna, the jewel of the world famous Garden Route.
