Once again the Leisure Isle Festival supported local charities by raising R215 500 for its beneficiaries.
Its 100 stalls offered excellent shopping that showcased some of Knysna’s finest crafters. A variety of food stalls added to the ambiance and saw festival goers sitting in the sun enjoying the great food and beverages on offer.

The following beneficiaries were all to happy to share in this year's profits:
• Hospice
• ePap Children Feeding Scheme
• Vermont Old Age Home
• Hands and Heart Skills Development Centre
• Knysna Animal Welsfare Society
• Steenbok Nature Reserve
• Vermont Old Age Home
• Hands and Heart Skills Development Centre
The funds handed over is 15 percent higher than the amount raised in 2014 and as indicated in the accompanying graph. This shows a continuation of successes over many years.
Equally important is the fact that the Festival generated economic activity of R700 000 for the Knysna coffers.
The Leisure Isle Festival committee conveyed their thanks to all who supported this annual venture, particularly Sotheby’s, their faithful sponsor for the past 13 years.
