Cittaslow Fun Run and Beach Festival
Knysna & Partners’ Sedgefield Tourism branch is once again hosting the Citta Slow Fun Run and Beach Festival on 19 December. What better way to start the sizzling summer than to enjoy a little family fun in the sun on one of the Garden Route’s best beaches.
This year’s event will kick off with a 5km Fun Run, followed by an amateur sand-sculpting competition with this year’s theme being ‘Marine Creatures’. This competition is a great, interactive way for families to get creative and connect – surrounded by the most beautiful and charming natural environment.
Make a point to diarise this popular family event. There are some awesome prizes up for grabs!

Knysna Splash Festival – make a splash for charity
Knysna SPLASH, Knysna’s annual water festival presented by the Knysna Rotary Club, takes place on Saturday and Sunday, December 19 – 20. Knysna Splash incorporates three fun-filled events for the whole family.
The Knysna SPLASH is an important fundraiser for Rotary Club Knysna as all proceeds from the entry fees are ultimately donated to local charities. This year’s Knysna SPLASH will focus on the two most popular events - the Knysna Lagoon Mile swim and the SPLASH Quack Attack duck race -and introduce two new canoe events - the SPLASH Family Fun Canoe Race and the SPLASH 10km Canoe Race.
Knysna Rotary spokesperson, Mick Furman said that he is looking forward to seeing both locals and visitors to the town participating in the SPLASH festival. “It promises to be lots of fun for the whole family, competitors and spectators, and it’s for a great cause.”
