Privately owned, within a 137ha nature reserve, on the Knysna River, this establishment offers an unique bio diversity of Afromontane Indigenous Forest, Cape Coastal Fynbos, and Estuarine Wetland, 89 bird species, bushbuck, the rare blue duiker, grysbok, bushpig and many smaller game. Using only sustainable building materials, drawing inspiration directly from nature a harmonious balance has been created, from ragged thatch rising into the forest canopy, to hand crafted wood shingle and fynbos planted roofs, from meandering boardwalks to a "freshwater" natural pool. THREE types of treesuites: The Classic Treesuite - there are 6 in total with ensuite bathroom with double bath ensuite ( shower over bath); lounge area plus outdoor living / deck area outside.. FOUR treesuites (Upper Tree Camp) with ensuite bathroom double shower inside and outdoor living area with jacuzzi/bath outside. NEW luxurious Moroccan treesuites These suites have an ensuite bathroom with seperate double bath, double shower, bidet, lounge area and private deck/living area outside. The rate quoted is bed and breakfast only Not the following: Dinner in the Boma is a 6 course gourmet meal served in the thatched boma in the forest. For strict vegetarians ( i.e.no fish) and vegans, we do require advance notice. The cost will be R225-00 per person per night (excludes drinks & gratuity). The wellness centre called the Body Boma offer treatments such as Full Body Massage, Reiki, Shiatsu, Swedish, Facials etc. Treatments are not inclusive in the tariff . Guests also have access to all the activities on the premises - mountain bikes, beautiful indigenous forest walk, the Bubble Barrel, two person sauna, private jetty with canoes, fresh-water plunge pool, bird-watching .
